The Center for Art, Culture, and History, Exeter, or CACHE, will be hosting a brand-new family-friendly summer classic cinema series every first Monday at 6 p.m. beginning June 3rd with the 1937 film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. For details of the full summer lineup, please see the Summer Series Press Release.
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is a classic animated version of the classic fairy tale for the whole family. A princess’ jealous stepmother tries to kill her, but she instead finds refuge in the forest with seven kind dwarves, dreaming of the day when her prince will rescue her. This was Walt Disney’s first full-length animated film in color that took years to make and went over budget. The voices for the characters are: Snow White, Adriana Caselotti; Prince, Harry Stockwell; and Evil Stepmother/Queen, Lucille La Verne.
Vintage dress is encouraged but not required to attend. The screenings will be shown in our upstairs facility, and film discussions will follow, hosted by Aida and Lee Bartoletti of Exeter, CA. Bring your own snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. Please arrive before 6 p.m. to peruse CACHE, socialize, and select your seating. Doors will close at 6 p.m.
This event is free and open to the public (donations are accepted), and it is recommended for ages 13 and older. For more information, visit our website at www.cach-exeter.org/events/.
